It's infuriating that so many of the people whose only argument for their positions is "this is how win" never then actually get held to their record. James Carville literally had a documentary named "Winning is Everything" made about him in 2024 and I don't think he's won anything in 23 years

The conflation of ML and genAI is really disingenuous. Nobody is rejecting the use of ML. It's powerful, efficient, and useful, and has been studied and used in products for decades.

genAI is garbage, and yes, it's tremendously easy and morally & ethically imperative to avoid using it

The bit about Eddington that most frustrated me was how the people complaining about masks all had asthma to make them seem more reasonable, when that was absolutely NOT the profile of anti-maskers and no-one I know who actually has asthma found it to be even slightly an issue
