The ABAP track on Exercism now has over 20,000 students!

😲👍

What an incredible success. @larshvam.bsky.social and several contributors made it possible 🎉

Give it a try, solve some exercises, and if you want a challenge contribute a new exercise or two 😄

I've said it time and time again but I really like reading through these RfCs- always something to learn as they're incredibly well written (by design :P)

Do I know anyone that has used github.com/abap-ai/mcp/... with SAP SSO/SNC & called it from within visual studio code?

In todays news of quality insp:
class /SCWM/CL_QUI_INSP_STOCK method SET_QINSP_ABILITY_STOCK calls FM /SCWM/QINSP_STOCK_GET_RFC which hands an itab to method GET_STOCK_4_QINSP of the inspection document.

Turns out itabs aren't supported. It crashes as soon as it has to loop more than once.

making local files easy to adopt is filled with agony, luckily I like pain
You can now convert your Notion pages and databases to durable, private, local files.

Using EML I've noticed how much I rely on English or in general the way we read LTR. This way, using BY didn't make any sense to me at first but ... reading it actually from RTL helps me knowing what I'm doing there.

I nearly scrapped a smartphone once because it was doing WEIRD THINGS whenever I tried to use it. Opening and closing apps, random characters appearing in whatever I was trying to type…

I had a Bluetooth keyboard in my rucksack that was paired with it and kept getting accidentally switched on.
I just spent the last two hours debugging the Bluetooth stack *in anger* because for the last few weeks I've had to re-pair my mouse with my laptop. Every time. Remove mouse, re-pair.

Turns out I had two identical mice in my backpack and I've been switching between them.

It was me.

Using UI5 with TypeScript?

Maybe the new type definitions browser comes in handy at times: ui5.github.io/typescript/u...

Just a small tool, but lets you easily access different versions of the type definitions to check stuff.

Published today - you read it first at Bluesky. 🙂

"LOOP AT ... allows ... field symbol (for performance optimization) or work area. I would suggest you use the field-symbol approach since it is generally faster"

I always wondered. Is that really true? Especially in this case?
Re: splitting 100000 records to two internal tables and post in al11
If I understand you correctly you have one internal table with 100k entries and you want to split them into 2 internal tables with 50k entries each? If my assumption is correct you can do a very basic...

I really miss "proper" software development. You know, with a team 'n all that. Focused on implementing stuff ... actually ... doing things.

Maybe next year again.

#rustlang hot take: We should rename .unwrap() to .or_panic(). (And .expect() to .or_panic_with().) "Unwrap" is a terrible name for the panicking function, especially since we also have things like .unwrap_or() and .unwrap_or_default() which never panic.

The Popover API puts your UI on a separate top layer so you can stop fighting with focus management. Plus backdrop styling so short it fits here:
[popover]::backdrop {
background: rgb(52, 168, 83);
backdrop-filter: blur(3px);
}

@software-heroes.com I feel like the "seen by" counter is a bit better placed left/right to the other context of the post, maybe?

Or maybe somewhere in the bottom with the other context?

Just wanted to mention it because it feels a bit lost/out of place there. But, just my/an opinion, ofc. ^^
