It's like you think how could this platform get any worse and then SAP is "hold my beer". 🤦

Regarding the question: I don't know what is a solution in RAP (bummer Andre didn't reply) but the number range gap was a problem in the old days too. There was some trick in the user exits. It's a PITA. :(

Very curious what is the thought behind ABAP code like this. Nevermind the fact that there is no reason to put anything in INITIALIZATION (there is no CONSTRUCTOR in lcl... class and it's not used on selection screen). But like... just... WTF? Does someone have no trust in object creation? 😵
