Yawned through a dull fillum last night on iPlayer. Underdeveloped script, parodying of the life of an author who can't write, all the clichés. So that YOU can avoid it, unless you're deeply tolerant, here's the link: www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/epis...

Good morning. Would you like some Castoria? What?
NO! DO NOT DRINK IT - it's for cleaning suede shoes.
Remember to don an apron to protect your gingham frocking.

Watching an old Grand Designs, and feeling a real desire to take Kevin McCloud by the sharp lapels of his fancy shirt and shake him like an old washcloth. He's so cheerfully cruel at times, making fun of the pretensions of others.

Worth remembering as this unfolds that it was disabled people and people from ethnic minority backgrounds who disproportionately died. Tens of thousands needlessly lost their lives, many who died alone or with just an iPad. Thousands more were left with life changing Long Covid. A true scandal.
BREAKING: The UK’s response to Covid was “too little, too late”, a damning official report on the handling of the pandemic has concluded, saying the introduction of a lockdown even a week earlier than happened could have saved more than 20,000 lives.

This production photo is beautiful, and the film is important: first countdown, multi-stage rocket... A visionary sci-fi movie.
