Just think, there are second-graders in New England who have never seen their Patriots play in the Super Bowl.

There is nothing that terrifies Donald Trump more than a strong, proud Black woman.

Everyone (except Trump) knows by now that China is pumping out renewables at astonishing scale. Less obvious is the sheer chaotic forces that China's industry lets loose. Read @jeremywallace.bsky.social 's great new piece.

If the press uniformly applied the standards they use for Trump, we'd get headlines like “Mafia praises business and wishes it well.”

"U.S. military actions frequently seem to target oil-producing countries like Iran, Libya, and Iraq — and it’s no coincidence. Oil and war go together, my research finds. Even so, this attack on Venezuela is unlike those previous conflicts in crucial ways."

US attack on Venezuela is, among other things, a regrettable turn towards petro-imperialism. My take at @goodauth.bsky.social

My heart breaks for these kids. I have worked at Brown for 25 years, over 20 of them in the building where the shooting took place. The campus will never be the same. The students will be scarred by this for life. We shouldn't have to live like this.
This is college in the United States. Video from inside a Brown University building shows the moment that police found a group of students who were sheltering after the shooting on campus. This isn't freedom.

Ah, oil and war. Petro-Aggression takes many forms.

No love for Maduro, but there are good ways to pressure his regime, and not so good ways.

This has no law. No int'l coalition. No real effort to legitimize. Just force.

We spent a year investigating billionaires for @washingtonpost.com.

We found: the wealthiest 100 Americans gave $1.1 billion to influence the 2024 elections — 140x more than they did in 2000. And almost all of that giving boosted Republicans.

The White House is ready for war with Venezuela, but the majority of Americans are unenthusiastic.

Only Congress can intervene by asserting its war powers, writes @cathylutz.bsky.social and @lutzfernandez.bsky.social.
