Depicting Black people as apes is not harmless. It's not funny. It's not something people need to "lighten up" about. It's ugly. It's vicious. And it's unequivocally racist. Anyone who does this is proudly declaring their racism and should be shunned by all decent people.

It's hard to change your mind about anything. And nobody likes hearing "I told you so." At the same time, it's hard to grant grace to someone who has been calling you a "libtard" for the past 10 years.
I think the mind-numbing level of criminality of Trump's second term actually helps him, because it's hard to focus on any one of his criminal acts when you know he'll do something even worse the following day.
