Lots of talk from republicans over the last month about “violent rhetoric” from “the left.” They should consider holding up a mirror and look at their own organization, The Young Republicans. www.politico.com/news/2025/10...

Mockery is effective. Bonus, it’s my source of joy. They want us angry and lashing out.

A lot of people have made fun of this post but she is way closer to the truth than the genre of weirdo who gets mad at irony and jokes about fascism and thinks that we can only respond to it with earnest outrage

I spent last Thanksgiving in New York City with my family. It was PERFECT. I’m internally pouting like a spoiled child because I’m not going this year. Your pictures bring such a huge smile to my face! Thank you!

A 13-year-old boy was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in Everett after an interaction with members of the Everett Police Department and sent to a juvenile detention facility in Virginia, according to his mother and immigration lawyer Andrew Lattarulo.

The boy’s mother, Josiele Berto, was called to pick her son up from the Everett Police Department on Thursday, the day he was arrested. After waiting for about an hour and a half, she was told her son was taken by ICE, Berto told the Globe in a phone interview.

“My world collapsed,” Berto said in Portuguese.

From the police department, the boy was taken to ICE’s holding facility in Burlington on Thursday evening, where he spent a night before being transferred by car to the Northwestern Regional Juvenile Detention Center in Winchester, Va., on Friday morning, his mother said. The juvenile facility is more than 500 miles away from Everett.

The boy is a 7th-grader at Albert N. Parlin School in Everett, his mother said. The teen and his family, who are Brazilian nationals, have a pending asylum case and are authorized to work legally in the United States, Lattarulo said.

The Trump administration put out a propaganda video in an attempt to show Chicago in chaos.

A couple of problems:
They used footage from Florida. There are no palm trees in Chicago.

The sign in the video is from the “Weed & Seed” program. You can clearly see the DC Police logo on the sign.

The Nobel Peace Prize has been awarded to Maria Corina Machado for her tireless work promoting democratic rights for the people of Venezuela and for her struggle to achieve a just and peaceful transition from dictatorship to democracy.

Has anyone checked in on Trump this morning?

I don’t want to live around, converse with, or even breathe the same air as the people who are okay w/ what is happening in our country. I have no grace for this mindset. None.

I’m not your friend. I’m not here to “keep the peace.” If you want to agree to disagree, I’ll gladly tell you to fuck off.
