A reminder that Tesla only appears profitable due to a Dec. 2024 change in GAAP that allows them to count unrealized gains in cryptocurrency as profit.
Their car sales are losing money hand over fist.

Just got back from a trip to Europe. Loads of EVs on the roads. Talked with several drivers. Nobody wants a Tesla because of Elon's fascist and racist behavior.

I don’t believe he’s telling the truth now either.

He’s a duplicitous bag of fetid dicks.

Incredible that this is where we are. He confesses to being a paid liar now hamstrung by the need to tell the truth. That sure gives me confidence!

It doesnt have to be that way. Congress stifled the USPS years ago. The post office isn't the problem. Congress is. Now, amazon is about to be a private rival. Usurping a Constitutional mandate.

The US military posted a loss of $2.7 trillion last year. K-12 schools posted a loss of $900B last year.

The USPS is important enough to be enshrined in our constitution.

oh, and they also lose billions of dollars a year. Not like how people say USPS loses money, but like, the money in the military vanishes without a trace and no one gets in trouble for it for some reason.

Yes, before the GOP screwed it up, the post office was adding money to the treasury.

Thanks for everyone in this thread explaining. I was confused bc during the shutdown USPS was open and had a message: "because we are an independent entity that is generally funded through sale of our products and services, and not by tax dollars, our services will not be impacted". So, profitable.

Funding 75 years of pensions for only $9bn sounds like an absolute steal, tbh.
