Tanuki is still with us but she’s around a year and 8 months old roughly and is slowing down massively. She was from Bright Horizon Hamster rescue so it’s not clear on her exact age. She’s in a totally separate and larger tank than Odin

Day 4- Odin accepts my hand for the first time (with my jumper covering it) and learns that I am the key to the play pen! He’s still not cool with my bare hand but I think with repetition he will learn that I won’t harm him

Odin is such a happy little guy! I was cautious when he was running to my hands when he saw me, thinking maybe it was cage aggression (hamsters can be cage territorial) but he just wanted to come out! He has SO much energy! I tried a playpen with him last night and he had such a good time!

Day 4- Odin seems unbothered by me stroking him which is great but he doesn’t yet understand the difference between my hand and a treat. I’ll put a treat in my palm and my fingers get nipped. This is how far I’ve gotten with Tanuki as well, she’s just not very bright! It’s not aggression at all
