With regards to less sex and actual loneliness, women are experiencing these things, too. Women may be more likely to have friends than men, but women are still getting lonelier. Women struggle with dating. The newer male struggle is expecting but not having someone to do your laundry for you

There's the famous story about how the original ending of Pretty Woman has Vivian leaving Richard and running off to Vegas with her friend and the money he's paid her. And while that's a very different movie than the one we got, I can imagine it being quite satisfying. But a downer WHMS? Absurd.
