I’m not a child but it gave me a new allergy to nickel.

This is like the bazillionth study confirming this. A functional cdc would be promoting this as the standard treatment for acute covid in order to reduce Long Covid.

In addition to what you are reporting I like the way you use the + to denote there is more.

It’s a diagnosis by exclusion. Start by having your GP run all the common tests for fatigue, assuming that’s your major symptom. Take care of yourself.

I honestly think we should be talking more about how they are similar, sociologically, so that we don’t keep making the same damn mistakes.

I’m hearing a different framing, that the Covid epidemic is not as bad or even comparable to the AIDS epidemic, when sociologically they share a lot of similarities as others have pointed out. We need to learn from the failures of the AIDS epidemic in order to meet the moment with Long Covid.

I was in the best shape of my life when I got long covid.

It’s definitely a feature of long covid.

I can't even experience deep emotion with LC, and so much of my anxiety is chemically driven and unfounded. I think it's OK to suppress..or maybe "release" is a better word. The emotional labor comes with it's own cost. It's unfair for us to have to bare it while we're sick if don't want to.

This discourse has people trying to claim the high ground on which epidemic is/was worse, when instead we should see it as a call for solidarity.

It should also be noted that three different AIDs antivirals are being trialed to treat Long Covid, with one being a phase 2 study. The amount of people experiencing disability from Long Covid right now is astounding and need an AIDs epidemic level response.

Lungs, head, fatigue. I can work less than half of what I used to.

You are asking a disabled person to do labor on your behalf and didn’t listen, welcome to blocksville.
November 24, 2025 at 4:45 PM
Yes. I have long covid and a limited amount of mental labor I can do each day. So forgive me for not doing easy leg work for others.

It’s googleable, but I did double check before I posted this. Both topics come up a lot in Long Covid communities. Also, there is more than one way that long covid messes with T cell function.

From experience using the tools on our work, for me at least.
