Yet, the people who caused that "time of danger" are long gone. We are still here.

We will keep lighting up Hanukkah.

With our hearts and minds going out to the families of those killed, and are with the injured -

We are taught, light from within darkness shines brightest 💔💞

We will worry of anything and everything out of the ordinary. This Hanukkah will be different.

Yet, I also know that we will not give up on shining the light of Chanukah. Already over 1500 years ago there are discussions on how to light Chanukah candles "in times of danger."

Brutally targeted, murdered and injured just for being openly Jewish, and openly celebrating our beautiful holiday.

I know that over the next 8 days, all of us who plan to attend public Chanukah celebrations, as we should be able to do in safety and security, will be worried.

No he has several but he rotates. Sometimes it’s Haitians. Sometimes it’s Somalis. The one thing all his scapegoats all have in common is that he likely thinks they’re too small of groups to fight back effectively. But he’ll still lose anyway.

The BarI Weiss orbit does. And I’m not sure what role CBS will play in the future but we might want to keep an eye on what happens there. It could crash and burn. It could also become the next big thing among elderly not-online folks who are a pretty big voting bloc.

I’m betting given her background she probably was just angling for Keffals.

Indeed, ironically chuds can claim "the woke left academics" are the ones who want to censor things, when for the most part said "woke left academics" are the ones who want to keep even the stuff they deem most problematic around if only so that they can analyze why it's wrong. 8/

Here as usual you’re committing the fallacy that the Bluesky users you’re arguing with are just flawed campaign consultants rather than recognizing they’re something other than what you are.

How about each of us fight on the issue or issues we most actually care about and join whoever else is doing that? I get that you’re talking about politicians here who can’t do that but we as citizens can. And most of us if we are politically engaged have multiple concerns…

If the US were actually serious about preparing for the next major global conflict and not just doing lame-ass LARPing, they'd be embracing renewables micro grids to achieve infrastructure resiliency.

What you win with solar+storage is resilience, not total independence from the grid.

I spent my career in the tech industry and this is not only “recognizable” I’d call it familiar.

What the folks in the energy industry still haven’t grasped is that this cost dynamic shifts every assumption they have about the world.

Been there. Done that.

It’s effing amazing.
