When you ask rich people to envision a world with no poverty you are asking them to envision a world where nobody has any motivation to clean their toilets for them, make their dinner for them, or drive them around all day. That’s not a world they want to live in.

Anyone who perceives Kirk as “civil” or as “doing politics the right way” is betraying their comfort with the ablative world Kirk worked so hard to create, secure in their belief that the grinding wheel will never touch *their* skin.

One wonders where that belief arises from.

Listen to me:

Our profit from the post office is the post office.
Our profit from a library is the library.
Our profit from a school is the school.
And our profit from our lives is life.
Our life. Ours.

I don't work with ACast, I don't know this is 100% the case, but in situations I HAVE worked with, it has been a matter of "I don't want things illegal in the *production's* jurisdiction advertised" and then anything with patchy legality such as dispensaries would be in that bin

Most likely I can think of would be for things like THC sellers, where the legality varies greatly by locale

it isn’t about who deserves what, or who is entitled to what, or what’s fair and what isn’t, these are the outcomes of decisions that have already been made and cannot be reversed in time to avoid the consequences, even if people were willing to vote the shooters out.

The listing agent for the Taxidermy Manor near me finally got to take down the photo of the straitjacket bedroom from the listing. Luckily I saved it.

(the straitjacket bedroom clearly at least originated as a servant's bedroom)

In a speech, I think it can be in a sweet way. On a shirt is a great way to make sure your son and daughter in law have a good conversation about what boundaries they'll be setting for your contact early
