Sometimes when we’re out on a project, we make some new and unexpected friends. Check out this desert millipede Fenton met in Texas! 🐛🐾
Our conservation canines travel with us every step of the way and see (and smell) it all on each deployment! 🌵💚

Sully has been doing a great job helping us to find invasive dyer's woad this season!

Our conservation dogs are trained to find all sorts of things to help protect wildlife and wild places, and that includes including invasive mussels to help stop their spread. Fenton loves this work!

Leo is sniffing for invasive mussels! When he targets that odor, he performs his passive alert, a sit stare. This tells his handler exactly where the odor is to help with the removal of the mussels and cleaning of the vessel. He loves conservation work, but he also really loves his treat rewards!
