Sometimes when we’re out on a project, we make some new and unexpected friends. Check out this desert millipede Fenton met in Texas! 🐛🐾
Our conservation canines travel with us every step of the way and see (and smell) it all on each deployment! 🌵💚

An intensive search is underway in Laos to find perhaps the most threatened large mammal on the planet: the saola ox.

Conservationists warn that extinction is “inevitable” without an intensive push to study remaining individuals and start a conservation breeding program to revive the species.

Our conservation dogs are trained to find all sorts of things to help protect wildlife and wild places, and that includes including invasive mussels to help stop their spread. Fenton loves this work!

Leo is sniffing for invasive mussels! When he targets that odor, he performs his passive alert, a sit stare. This tells his handler exactly where the odor is to help with the removal of the mussels and cleaning of the vessel. He loves conservation work, but he also really loves his treat rewards!

Thrilled to meet my hero, Jane Goodall, & share photo of her with Pepin & Megan of @wd4c.bsky.social, who inspired my picture book, TROUBLE DOG: FROM SHELTER DOG TO CONSERVATION HERO. Dogs are Jane's favorite animals! So grateful for all she does for dogs and wildlife! #SteamTeamBooks #STEM
