You can fit any negative onto any paper - border sizes may be not ideal but it works.
6x7 film format is often called “ideal” as its aspect ratio fits 8x10 most closely.

All hobbies are expensive I guess - I’ve standardised on 5x7 paper - can’t imagine retirement without that space .

Was lucky enough to pay just £350 including Rodenstock 150 lens - I replaced the fan as it wasn’t working but that was easy enough as odyssey Devere had spares .

There is one pair that is dedicated to cutting film as they are super slim and sharp - the other two have migrated to the darkroom over time - I used to hang my dodging tools on those hooks.

Thanks Amy it’s 12x10 but each frame is half that of course.
In general I’ve found you get great quality when making optical prints from the Pentax 17 - this one was earlier in the day in bright sunshine … both Kodak Gold

You can selectively “flash” highlight areas - best to do a quick test first to make sure you’re not actually adding visible density.
It makes highlight printing a bit easier by adding latent density to the highlight areas … Les Maclean did some articles on pre and post flashing
