well, it's not any different to how theyve approached the technology itself, they talked about the need for safeguards against the technology's uses but done nothing to prevent bad actors using it in bad ways
I like how these guys get to have it both ways

they get to inflate the bubble via broad product misrepresentation and bogus math

then dole out sage warnings about a looming problem they created as if they played no role in it
