There's nothing redeemable in that word slop. It's amazing how it isn't terrible in only 1 or 2 ways but there are layers upon layers of what is wrong with it! It fails on EVERY level! 🤣

Great series! That series and The Martian are the only books my entire family has read which is amazing given some very different tastes between my 3 kids. (Murderbot is close but we're not quite at all 5 of us yet.)

I also have Kyle use silly non-swear words as a fun little quirk. But, again, some didn’t like it.

So I dunno. Whenever I try to give unique traits to character voices, I’ve had people tell me to remove them. So I guess we will see. 🤷‍♂️

In my rock drama/romance, Katie also does not use contractions. Had some bounce off of that tho, so now I’m doubting myself.

Another thing is I tend to use a lot of ellipses for characters who are unsure but have two that almost never do to reflect their greater self confidence.
