The last thing I saw Lance Henriksen in was Hannibal over 10 years ago, and he looked pretty frail. I thought that must have been one of his last roles but I just looked and apparently every year he still shows up in a half dozen movies I’ve never heard of. Most of these don’t even have wiki pages.

I knew about Fatty Arbuckle’s famous nightmare situation, but I never heard this story before about the murder of a director named William Desmond Taylor
![Mabel Normand was a popular comedic actress and frequent costar with Charlie Chaplin and Roscoe Arbuckle. According to author Robert Giroux, Taylor was deeply in love with Normand and she had originally approached him for help to cure her cocaine dependency. Based upon Normand's subsequent statements to police investigators, her repeated relapses were devastating for Taylor. According to Giroux, Taylor met with federal prosecutors shortly before his death and offered to testify against Normand's cocaine suppliers. Giroux believed that those suppliers learned of the meeting and hired a contract killer to assassinate the director.

A Noise from the Deep is a 1913 American short silent comedy film starring Mabel Normand and Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle. The film was directed and produced by Mack Sennett and also features the Keystone Cops on horseback. A Noise from the Deep still exists and was screened four times in 2006 in the Museum of Modern Art in New
York City as part of a 56-film retrospective of all known surviving Arbuckle movies.
The film is notable for being the first instance of throwing a custard pie in the face in a film, which was by Normand hitting Arbuckle squarely in the face.'!
