Okay, trying this again. Here is the new itch.io page for Legacy, my "semi open-world" game about going to school in Solest and exploring the wilderness with your friends. I hope you check it out and enjoy it!

Democrats are just the HR department for Republicans at this point.
The incredibly lukewarm Democratic response on Greenland is being noticed in Europe, incidentally.

Chuck Schumer not finding a stronger word than “quixotic” for Trump’s plan to seize Greenland has been name checked to me more than once.
But Americans who want to save the alliance with Europe must have no illusions about how bad a condition this transatlantic partnership is in.

You know how much of an asshole you have to be to get people in Minnesota to talk to you like that?

Bear with me for a thread.

Republicans have mastered the art of making excuses for horrific things they want and forcing an argument online and in media over the *excuse* rather than the deed. It ends up in completely fake arguments. Rufo & others basically admit this.

They made the ghostbuster WOMEN.
That’s the reason.
It’s genuinely wild that the United States spent decades building an elaborate rules-based international order which de facto cemented its permanent status as the dominant global hegemon, sustained by ideology rather than might, and now is just blowing it all up for literally no reason

The US has transformed from a (sorta) functioning democracy into a poster regime, a rogue troll state, fueled by internet clout. And the abduction of Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro is likely just the beginning.

A functioning Congress will have articles of impeachment drafted by the end of the day.

Our Congress will just go to social media to basically say “We don’t like this, but what are you gonna do?”

President Macron, my people cry out for liberty!
by not punishing trump for invading and bombing venezuela, it would now be legal to invade whatever country you want and capture it’s leader? i assume that can be done to the united states too?

So the last Stranger Things....definitely some writing issues. It should have been better. But then again, it also could have been a lot worse.

I also feel like we're living in an era where every big series finale is going to be seen as horrible because that means more of that sweet engagement.

Happy Holidays, everyone. I'm doing a brief end of year Legacy report here rather than a blog entry. I got a lot done in the first half of the year, but fell off more recently because of some health issues (physical and mental). I hope I can wrap up the next build in 2026.

For those who reached out and informed me that the Solest Games site was down, we've been able to restore it. Renewing the SSL certificate is pretty pricey so a hearty thank you to ArtBane for taking the hit on that. With RMN down as well, MotW was totally homeless for a while, but no more!
