Every progressive organizer that inked a win this year is furious at Schumer’s coordinated betrayal and seems to be devoting energy now to primarying party elders.

Good. Clean house.

Do you see how warm & fuzzy Trump is today?
oh senate dems...

I think Trumps hard push to deny SNAP at Thanksgiving is going to backfire bigly. Schumer has a free card.

Actually, more Independents need to come back into the Democratic party and help make changes in the primaries.

Hey, a lot of people are talking about changing affiliation from Democratic to Independent.

Let me tell you why you shouldn’t do that in Colorado.

One of the main ways to get a primary challenge candidate on a ballot is to caucus for your party. You need to be registered as a Dem to caucus.

I think a lot of the anger this morning stems from a feeling that we did our part, but they did not do theirs. This is an oversimplification, but my dudes, no wonder people are like, “OK, let’s try the democratic socialist, then.”

Standing up to Trump, but only on Tuesdays in months that start with "S."

There are wide lanes open for Democratic candidates who believe in something other than neoliberalism and insider trading.

Important to note that the DNC, House Dems, 2028 contenders, and even the most pro-leadership pundits and influencers are all laying on Senate Dems right now.

They betrayed all of us. Schumer has no allies left.

Newsom is a bad person and I’ll leave that bubble empty before I vote for him, but if he spends all day on tv tomorrow calling Schumer a coward and it normalizes the call to primary him among lowish information democrats, godspeed.

Explain to me why a center-right democratic party is working for America? 🇺🇸

My husband planned to retire in December. I'm not eligible for Medicare until Aug so I planned to get an Obamacare policy. I found one in Oct that was $800/month. Now it's $2000/month.

So now my husband isn't going to retire. I hate Trump & GOP so much.

Can you imagine sitting at home waiting for SNAP so you can even think about buying food for Thanksgiving dinner. 🥘 That's where we are.

I called for this with Kaine last night, but Brian is right that it holds true for King, Durbin and Fetterman too.
If I lived in Virginia, the second that Spanberger is sworn in as governor, I'd be demanding @kaine.senate.gov's resignation so she could replace him with someone who's actually aware of what is going on.

The SCOTUS stay will expire within 48 hours absent further action from the justices, per its terms.

"Democrats could have held the line on the shutdown, and spent weeks watching Trump’s approval ratings fall," writes @jonathanbchait.bsky.social
Instead, he argues, they're making a mistake by giving in:

The coordinated nature of this—none are facing voters in 2026—means that either Schumer approved it or failed in his job as Senate Majority Leader to stop it.

Dems voting "no" get zero credit until they demand a change in leadership. Schumer out as Leader, Durbin out as Whip.
so currently defectors are:

Kaine (2030)
Shaheen (Retiring)
Hasan (2028)
Fetterman (2028)
Durbin (Retiring)
CCM (2028)
Rosen (2030)
King (2030)
