i was doing phase 1 of a, uh, proof-of-concept project, nit-pickily measuring some pieces of paperboard, marking and cutting them, laying them out, assembling. and one didn't fit. cuz i never actually CUT it after marking the lines. so, like, "measure twice, cut none"?

Puffball mushrooms, like these I found on my walk today, are of the genus lycoperdon, which is a word composed of lyco- meaning wolf, and -perdon meaning fart. Wolf-fart mushrooms are their SCIENCE name. This factoid will nestle your brain until you repeat it to someone someday. You’re welcome
