Bovino: "When politicians, community leaders, & some journalists engage in that heated rhetoric we keep talking about, when they make the choice to vilify law enforcement calling law enforcement 'Gestapo' or using the term 'kidnapping,' that is a choice & there are actions & consequences."

I know it’s not as catchy as “defund the police” was as a slogan, but this seems like it’s moving in the right direction thematically to not scare off the normies when talking about policing reform.
Gov. Wes Moore: "There does not seem to be a focus on either violent criminals or public safety, nor a focus on following the Constitution…We have to make sure that people's First and Second Amendment rights are protected."

It’s really not enough to just win the next election. Every one of these ghouls need to be held accountable and let’s start with disbarment for the clown attorneys. Really shameful stuff
BREAKING: At the Eighth Circuit, DOJ — including senior lawyers — argues that yesterday's shooting of Alex Pretti "ha[s] nothing to do with" the lawsuit over DHS violations of people's First/Fourth Amendment rights in Minnesota.

Could this guy teach a class to other dems on effective communication?
We're getting a snowstorm tomorrow. But New York City is prepared.

The fact John Yoo isnt in a prison for crimes against humanity and instead gets to publish this drivel while being a professor at one of the most prestigious law schools is so laughable. The Atlantic should be fucking embarrassed of themselves
International law no longer serves as an instrument of global stability—and the U.S. should use this moment to argue for a different approach to the rules of war, John Yoo argues.
A New International Law Can Rise From the Ashes
The United States should use this moment to argue for a different approach to the rules of war.

Renee Good should still be here.

She was a beloved child of God, with inherent value and infinite worth.

She was murdered by her own government in broad daylight in what is supposed to be the greatest democracy on the planet.

Elon Musk is about to become the first trillionaire.

The reason poverty exists in the wealthiest country on earth isn't because we can't feed the poor — it's because we can't satisfy the rich.

We should tax trillionaires out of existence.

ghoulishness aside, this seems like a head coach giving chest bumps up and down the bench for a defensive three second call in the first quarter
Yikes. Celebrating this? Oh my goodness

weird the “revival” is apparently just actually talking about issues and fighting back
For Democrats, Tuesday brought more than three big election victories. It laid out a path to revival for a party that has been dispirited and disempowered under the dominance of President Trump.

Zohran Mamdani won the New York mayoral race and New Jersey and Virginia elected Democratic governors, with key voter groups shifting in the party’s favor.

I’ve been interested in political speeches for as long as I can remember. I’ve listened to nearly every inaugural and major address, and I’ve given tons of public speeches myself.

Zohran’s talent in this arena ranks among the best. He’s damn good. Hella good. Remarkably good.

Crazy to watch.

This headline is atrocious and should really point out the report makes conclusions that arent backed up by any evidence (as the story does multiple times). Be better NYT! Comer is probably the dumbest member of congress and the next dem speaker should boot him off the committee

Probably also doesnt help that much of social media is a toilet that has been coopted by rightwing psychopaths, but gotta play with the hand youve been dealt.
This feels like it’s just another prong in the debate about generational change in the party. It’s not just about age, it’s about understanding the new media environment and clearly dems of all ages, including their consultant class, have failed to do so.

This is what happens when you have a reality tv administration instead of actually qualified people. Even assuming that NY post percentage is right, it was an increase of 40 incidents in a city of 9 million people.
