Anyone else a painfully slow artist?

I spend too long on my #art, so I'm learning to draw faster. Here's two 1.5-hour sketches I threw together. I don't know how to feel.

It's hard letting go of fixing things just to meet a fake deadline. Learning that emotional skill feels invisible. #sketch #wip

Hot take: I think most people still draw the #Frieren head wrong.

I've mostly seen tilted up 3/4ths perspective. The thing is, no version of that perspective would show so much underside of the jaw.

Here's my attempt at drawing an ACTUAL full tilt Frieren head.

Okay so

I tested my methods by refining a bluebiscuits-style rough head sketch. It's decent for something I threw together quickly, besides the wonky anatomy and hair

But I lost some of the character of the original? Is this just how it is?

The past few days I've been practicing drawing heads from any angle quickly, based on a bluebiscuits tutorial.

Today, I pushed the method a bit and had some fun with it.

Four quick sketches of heads in exaggerated expressions. Unlike the past few posts, I actually wanna describe the vibe cuz I think it's funny. Top left: It's like someone mid-sneeze, or like they're being lurched forward quickly, 3/4ths view. Top right: Someone being dragged backwards suddenly, with a look of surprise and concern. 3/4ths view. Bottom left: It's like a dad getting very angry, like a smear frame where he's about to shift upward and yell. 3/4ths view Bottom right: Someone falling toward quickly by the head. At this point there's no neck so the head just looks like an egg falling fast. The face is about to faceplant at the bottom, squinting out of fear. Near side profile.

Help?

I've seen other (much better) anime artists use the fill tool pretty effectively. But whenever I use it, I spend a lot of time manually filling in space.

What am I doing wrong?

Two side by side eye studies, just quick digital art sketch. Both eyes have anime features put on top, in particular the upper eyelide/eyelash area, a couple of lower lashes, and the outer tip of the eye. I did also juice up the irises from the reference.

Rough digital sketch with some rough shading of two heads. Both of them are looking to their right, but the camera is looking at them at different angles. Since this is alt-text, you're getting the editorializing: I mean, they're not great, and idk why one of them got kobold ears, but they're not terrible.

I found relics of a 2000s anime fan in my childhood stuff.

I never wore the shirts because I was too embarrassed. I did, however, wear the gloves and headband on occasion.

They're black and also have metal bands with the Konoha symbol, and they're attached to the back of the hand. The surface of the gloves is cracking to pieces. The December 2009 (Vol 7, Issue 12) copy of Shonen Jump. It kind of has a lot going on, but it features Naruto's face, Sasuke in an action pose (I think this was the start of Shippuden so they're in those clothes). And there's a violator of Luffy from One Piece in the bottom left, and Rukia from Bleach in the top left. It's 392 pages for only $4.99!
