she is a bonafide star in this stellar, sinister, but not especially scary return for the venerable horror series. words over @theverge.com

I don’t think the saying “we’re so back”applies more than with Silent Hill f, an intoxicating survival horror game that weaves a brilliant fragmented story, has phenomenal atmosphere, and some genuine surprises. Genuinely one of my favorite horror games of all time www.inverse.com/gaming/silen...
'Silent Hill f' Is a Heady, Grisly, and Surprisingly Timely Horror Masterpiece
'Silent Hill f' isn't just a gruesomely glorious return for the legendary franchise, it might genuinely be one the best survival horror games ever made.

Hugely thankful to @nicolecarpenter.bsky.social for coverage of our Games for Palestine charity bundle in @aftermath.site - a site I'm a huge fan of.

This is a really comprehensive overview of the organizations involved, including @unrwa.org and of the work to get this off the ground <3

Notes from SGF: Resident Evil was underwhelming, Pragmata ripped, and a whole bunch of indies impressed.

Here's the other: Two weeks ago, over Zoom, I spoke with Quarter Up founder Mike Willette about Invincible VS, the new 3V3 tag fighter.

Yesterday, before the final day of SGF, I went to Skybound's Beverly Hills office to play it for an hour. Holy shit, y'all.

NPR let me go long on my post-GDC dispatch, which gets at the many tensions around layoffs, generative AI, and inflated budgets that the industry is grappling with right now.

You should listen if only for Keita Takahashi's very blunt assessment of AI.

Vanilla Wind Waker vs the remaster is the most bizarre Nintendo decision I’ve seen in a long time. Purely from a Nintendo centric financial standpoint

The partner showcase isn’t that meaningful to me but this is definitely big for the many, many people I know who are only plugged into the Nintendo infrastructure.

Was afraid replaying Bioshock 1 was going to be a case of “revisiting your formative adolescent media and being disappointed” and that is very much not the case.

Also kind of a shock to see how scripted those first few hours are (to its benefit!)
