Oh heck. The US has an economic, cultural, and geopolitical footprint that's globe-sized. One doesn't have to have direct ties to be tied to the fortunes of the United States.

Ignoring that we don't want a potential president of our nation to use what is happening in the USA as a playbook, I'm pretty sure any Venezuelan or me, as a Colombian, have a lot to talk about USA politics and how it affects them and us.

Apple could tell iPhone users very clearly to expect some slowness and heat for a couple days or so while a new iOS update is indexing & other housekeeping — but I can only assume they don't because those symptoms trigger more people to update their hardware.
