One of my friends and I caught up today and I honestly expected it to go for an hour, but I let him keep me on the phone for 5. I can't remember the last time I talked to someone on the phone for that long. I guess we both needed that. Got a good work out in too.

My other other conclusion is that "outfit recycling" should be the highest badge of honor in fashion and so we should STOP complimenting people for new clothes and START complimenting people who wear the same thing again.

When I had spinal surgery for a traumatically blown disc, we spent hours on the phone calling around to make sure the surgeon and facility were covered...
Then we got a bill for $40k from the anesthesiologist who was not covered...

No one should have to shop around for emergency care. If they are having a medical emergency they should be focused on getting care as fast as possible if they are even conscious and well enough to think clearly. The rest of the modern world does not put patients at risk.
How are rural residents supposed to shop around for emergency care? What do they do when there's only one hospital for miles?
Especially when GOP Medicaid cuts are CLOSING those hospitals!

I've been able to train IG to show me more content with Finnish people sharing info and one thing I've noticed is that the Finnish women being interviewed don't speak in a performative high pitched voice to pander to men and I love seeing that.

I'm one of those proud Pacific North West people, and previously was uninformed about how folks are in the south east, and I just want to give a shout out to the folks down there doing the hard work.

If women are underrepresented in STEM, it's at least partly because men like this offer mentoring, then embarrass themselves by assuming their mentees must be into them, then decide the best solution is to cut ties, which sends the signal to other faculty that the mentee must not be good enough.
The emails have Summers reporting to Epstein about his attempts to date a Harvard economics student & to hit on her during a seminar she was giving.

There is only 1 downside for me, if you mute someone, definitely do not go on to date them later. It was one of the silliest mistakes I've made. 😬
