Marzipan fun fact: it supposedly started in 1400s Lübeck when the city was starving and the only food left was… almonds and sugar. So the bakers basically said, “Great, we can’t make bread, but we can make dessert while everyone panics.” And boom — marzipan. The world’s sweetest emergency ration. 👋
