JD Vance is in someways worse than the carpetbaggers that used to go to these poor people and rip them off. He made his fortune off them having lived as one of them he knows how hard it is to scrap by. He did more than turn his back on them, he made it harder for them.
Shapiro: He rose to some prominence by writing a book about growing up in Appalachia, where there are a whole lot of people who get SNAP. He made millions of dollars off telling their stories, and then he turned his damn back on those very people he likes to write about and claim as his own.

Yesterday on Halloween it was so rainy and cold I broke out my big winter coat for a twenty minute run to the store. Today on Nov 1 I had to roll down the window and unzip a light jacket while sitting in the car for 15 minutes. Nothing like seasonal predictable weather. And this is nothing like it.
