Should do an introduction I suppose

Hello! I’m Alex, I work in unscripted TV, writing questions and puzzles for quiz shows, and designing new formats for competitive reality and game shows.

I also do absurdist drag comedy as my alter ego Céilí Rae Minogue.

Feel free to say hi and ask me stuff! X

The BBC, quite consciously, sets out to demean and belittle trans people. This is both morally contemptible and in breach of its Charter obligations. We've made it super easy for you to write to the BBC and tell it to stop.

The BBC must stop attacking trans people | Good Law Project
The right wing accusations of ‘pro-trans’ bias are back to front. It’s time for the BBC to live up to its duty to be impartial on trans issues.

sure absolutely nothing bad could possibly happen as a result of the Telegraph claiming there’s an LGBTQ+ mafia secretly controlling BBC News, and the entire political and media sphere all agreeing that that is definitely happening actually

Getting really sick of pundits talking about all three “major issues” of the BBC complaint as if they need to be treated equally.

One of them led to the resignations. The only one that has any substantive evidence behind it.

The other two are just empty right wing complaints.

Whole thing reeks.

Loco Motive was a wholly human creation made with a relatively tiny budget - We paid real human voice actors, artists and musicians - And they all brought something to the final game.

Nexon has a market cap of $17,000,000,000 USD and they're too cheap to care about their craft. Fuck off.

Something very interesting uncovered in the recent Andrew Lownie book on Prince Andrew is that Maitlis & the Newsnight team which got famous off their interview of Andrew stole all the journalistic work of a BBC Panorama team in Belfast, didn't credit them, & then erased them from history.

She both believes that the establishment (with her) is overtly pro-trans, but also that the establishment (with her) was responsible for shuttering trans healthcare she deems "questionable".

What with this, and Marina and Richard on The Rest is Entertainment this morning confusing the idea of “pregnant people” as being used to include trans women (who of course can’t get pregnant, ffs, but trans men certainly can) it’s a great day for “oh but you can’t say anything nowadays.”

So in regards to this whole BBC shambles, it seems like the actual reason the top brass quit was because Trump was going to sue, and the right-wing press are choosing to also include some guff about the Beeb being Pro-Gaza and Pro-Trans just because they can?
