Hooray! The Bicycle of Theseus is getting one more winter* out of these years-old studded tires.

* Barring calamity**, so please knock some wood or summat for me.

** Calamity led to their early installation, because I got a flat running over a scrap of metal yesterday.

How do you remember someone that no one really can?

I only have third-hand stories about my father's father, but he served in the Second World War, and took part in the liberation of the Netherlands in some capacity, hence bringing home these clogs, presumably for the son he hadn't met yet.

This is an scam ad I got on Reddit the other day.

Because I am a curious fool, I wanted to see what the comments were on the 'post', so clicked through to see dozens and dozens of rubes and bots clamouring for Louis Vuitton handbags and Burberry dog collars.

Good news: Tesco in Glasgow is definitely hiring.

Bad news: The person (presumably with the same first initial and last name as I have) used my elderly Gmail address to sign up for job alerts about it.

Experimentally planted some sprouting purple potatoes a few weeks ago, not expecting much in my critter*-and-invasive-plant-filled yard, but this has been too big a success and I don't think I can move them now.

(* hence the yogurt container relocated from a recycling bin)

The algorithm seems to think I'm a trans woman this week, which is fucking awesome! Thanks, Robot Overloads!

Now please do the same to that hateful billionaire so she'll rage-quit the internet and sue all the big tech companies for ruining her life.

Closest wildfires are ~1500km away and the air here is high-risk bad.

Just imagine how it is in the thick of things.
