I also think a factor of it sticking even after the initial impact is just how strong the characterization is beneath the (incredible) visuals. Ivy is a sweetheart, Vyper is horrible yet hilarious, Viktor is kind and sympathetic. Like TF2 but more, there's remarkable depth to them.

Learning the difference between discomfort and harm is how you can exist in any social space.

Parquet flooring warped in Arkansas humidity. During a game of Candyland, childish flailing flung a piece onto the floor. When I got up to get it, I caught my sock on a tile's corner, tripped, and landed chin-first on more sharp wood-bits. Tore it open so badly I still have the scar.
What's the most ridiculous way you ever hurt yourself? I got out of the tub, skidded in water and tripped over the toilet. Ankle sprain.

Took part in a Tales From Myriad one-shot today. The system as a whole may not be for me, but I love the character creation tables, which led me to Bumpkin the Animus, who was sent by the Stars to wander the world. Turned a guy into a pumpkin, nearly ended the world, saved the day. Good stuff!
