One detail I love about RED PLANET is how the suits' voice is Neil Ross, who also voiced Tuck Pendleton's pod's mainframe voice in INNERSPACE. It feels like a cute easter egg, and it fills my inner nerd with a great amount of joy.

Question. I love this movie, but how come Arrow Video didn't commission an artwork for this one, the way they did it for RED PLANET, or OUTLAND, or THE LONG KISS GOODNIGHT?

Now that my 4K copy from Arrow is on the way, this old copy of RED PLANET is officially retired, but I want to keep that red case I got for it ages ago. I just need to find a blu-ray with an artwork that is predominantly red or red-friendly. Any suggestions?

The last two Mission: Impossible movies are fun, yes. But I think ROGUE NATION and FALLOUT were the peak of that series--not counting M:I-2, of course, which I adore and might be my personal favorite.

Yeah, I will say, at this point, I highly doubt my list is going to change. We'll see. This list is in no order whatsoever, they're just my ten favorite movies of 2025, ten movies I'll always be happy they exist.

And don't even get me started on 16 BLOCKS, Richard Donner's last movie, and it's a great one--if you watch the version with the alternate ending included in the DVD. The blu-ray only includes that ending as a deleted scene, which blows. So I only own it on DVD.

That 1408 announcement reminds me of THE RUINS, another awesome movie that I still have on DVD only because the blu-ray includes only the crappy unrated ending. Maybe one day they'll release a proper version of this.

Oh, shit. This includes the original theatrical (and superior) ending! Yes! I love this movie, how come none of you fucking fucks told me about this announcement? I never bought the 2008 blu-ray precisely because it only included the unrated cut.
