Hate to see a conference I used to really care about have its attendance drop by almost 50% this year, but it really is inspirational to see so many people rejecting LPSC's refusal + removal of all DEI content. If you don't support the community, we won't support you!

Hate to see a conference I used to really care about have its attendance drop by almost 50% this year, but it really is inspirational to see so many people rejecting LPSC's refusal + removal of all DEI content. If you don't support the community, we won't support you!

I submitted an abstract to LPSC 2026.
I wanted to see how many abstracts were submitted this year. Mine went in at 11:58 pm Central, so is among the last to go in. It will be rejected, but for the student rate ($35) it was worth the experiment.

this bothered me about the movie but not enough because I watched it in theaters 4 times
I'd heard the "Why the hell don't they kiss?!?" narrative surrounding "Twisters" and, without having seen the movie, I was like, "What the heck is everybody going on about? How distracting could it possibly be?!?"
