Feeling a little better today. Yesterday was pretty miserable though. Remains to be seen if I'll be at the office on Wednesday as planned.

I’m just very glad we got everything done with the magazine before I got sick. The only thing we had left to take care of before we hit the road was making sure everybody got paid. New issue will be released this evening at 12:01 UTC. 7:00 PM New York time.

Darn, you beat me to it. 🙃

Remember, if it's not made in the Bluesky region of pedantry, it's just sparkling ostentation.

I did the same. Rogue One is definitely less heavy and has to hide more of the original rebellion scaffolding that Andor illuminates. But it's harder to do in two-hours what Andor had two-seasons and twenty-four hours to build.

If we toss in series, the list starts with Andor, then Rogue One at #2.

My list is not the only one, nor the most popular take. That's fine. Everyone should come to media with your own views and sensibilities, and never let anyone else define for you how you interact with it. How you feel about it.

Just don't shit on OTHERS because you disagree.

I've loved Rogue One since my first viewing. It was everything I'd wanted in a Star Wars film since the first trilogy. Strong acting, writing, plotting, and immersive CGI, while casting new light on a critical point in the rebellion. Grittier, but not bleak.

Because rebellions are built on hope.

I also don't agree with the view that Rogue One is "bad" because it "jumps around" and is "fan service." Neither of those comments feel accurate.

But I was struck by the arrogance of someone making such claims and suggesting only their opinion was correct. To them I say: E chu ta, laserbrain.

I know the song, and while I'm not familiar with its use during the year-end holidays, it does not seem wildly out of place. Very fitting in fact.

Better than yesterday morning when, in the dark, I stepped in cat yuck, my foot slipped three feet, and I nearly took a header (thank goodness I was wearing slippers). Then of course had to clean that up before I could even get some coffee.

Cats is evil.

Yeah, we've had to consider the same up here in downeast Maine. Very few businesses use anything other than Facebook (and we still have to carry cash with us just in case). But so far we've navigated the waters without it and I'm hoping that can continue.
