While I wish they would do the exact experiment to simple tell all reviewers to rank their piles 1-9, my fear is that the tiebreak decisions would just be the biases they are trying to avoid

For some reviews the résumé is the only thing that seems to indicate what between the lines stuff was important and what may have been vibes. Experienced applicants can read the tea leaves but many people cannot. Reviews being clear and direct and not stockcritique™️ even more important now
