Got to admit I'm put off buying this new Hellboy series because I hate the way they're coloured. I really dislike gradient colours on layers above the line art, and I can't stand "Color hold" the technique of changing the colour of the lines. This is the colourist equivalent of a drum solo.

After seeing the painting Allegory of a Group No. 78 at the Walker Art Gallery, I looked into the artist Sun Yuan. Not much online, but this is not the conceptual artist with the same name. Sun Yuan is Teacher and Associate Professor at Shanghai Sanda University's School of Art Design and Media.
