We profiled refugees who:

Arrived in the country legally.

Applied for green cards.

Were arrested by ICE and detained.

One refugee who was arrested found out they got their green card after being released.

This is an unprecedented operation.

3 years ago I walked the picket line in solidarity with @nynurses.bsky.social on strike. Shortly after, I had the honor of working for NYSNA and learned firsthand the urgency of nurses’ demands for safe staffing. I stand with them in their fight for a fair contract and safe patient care! ✊🏽

This would be fantastic. We need nurses to go on strike — and we need medical debtors and doctors and everyone involved in the health care industry to start making noise. We cannot accept the destruction of the little health care system we have.
Over 20,000 New York nurses could strike to ring in the new year.

97% of the nurses at 12 NYC hospitals have voted to authorize a strike.

And their contracts expire on December 31st.
