I do not want to know why ICE/CBP is flying a F'ing blackhawk over the Aptos hills and the coast north of town.

It's not far off from the flight paths that some of the 90's anti-weed-grower flights took. I kind of wonder if there are about to be some ICE/DEA joint ventures this planting season.

Again with the Fox/Cowboys bullshit.

NY/DAL is red, has no playoff implications whatsoever, and both teams are bad.

TEN/JAX is blue, and is potentially meaningful to the Jaguars.
NO/ATL is green, and will decide who wins the NFC south.

So, what game does Fox force most of the US to watch?

Found this vintage picture from 2011.

Remember kids, it's way better to be photographed with the cops than it is to be photographed BY the cops.

My favorite kind of sign. One of them says "Caution: don't go here", the other says "here's how you go here".

Needless to say, I followed the sign.

There is language in the amendment that explains it as a response to Texas (and in the text of the prop mentioning other states), but nowhere does it say that this only goes into effect if Texas (or another state) is successful.

The voters passed it, and it is now part of the constitution.

Today's hike.

Also, there are plenty of these on BLM/Federal land (the Army cleaned the county land, but is only partway through over here).

Even if walking through a UXO-filled old bombing range is Darwin award level of stupid, how "public" is the land really if you can still be arrested for trespassing on it?

This picture is a story. I took it standing on BLM land (Federal), which is in fact public land that I was about to leave. The blue marker is an indication of the start of a Monterey County Parks trail. Of course, it is ALSO public land, though the feds don't seem to recognize it as such.

MFer is going to put a tariff on the Commissioner's trophy if the Blue Jays win, isn't he.

Blue is Dallas@Carolina. Yellow is Seattle@Jacksonville.

The Seahawks/Jags game is going to be a better game, between much better teams. But, because Fox has an agreement with Jerry Jones, most of the country has to endure a game between two flailing teams, neither of which has a winning record.

Kickers taking a leak behind a towel on the sideline is almost so common that it's a running joke.

Novak got spectacularly caught by the cameras, but he's far from the only one.

You will probably not be surprised to learn that this is not the first time I've seen a "beware of explosives" sign on a hike.

This one's in former Fort Ord land that's now BLM or Monterey County's responsibility.
