Still hasn't met its goal, which is SO disappointing. Please share this widely. The Good and Pretti families deserved every penny they got, but it's SO disappointing that the victims of color can't even come close to raising the same amounts for their families.
This man was murdered by an off-duty ICE agent and he has two young daughters who will not have the support of a father ever again. We can't raise even $300k for these girls?

We have seen the same strategy with Abrego Garcia here in Maryland. When the administration is forced to release someone while the public is watching, they pursue that person down every possible avenue, using any tactic they can. They NEED to prove they were right by removing them.

As a journalist who has spent decades sitting in churches, many of them *very* rightwing, because understanding their beliefs, & how they’re expressed, matters, I’d like to see some journalists on the ground bring us that news. Just attend. Tell us about the songs, the sermon, the socializing.
I think it’s worth keeping in mind that the specific church that was protested, inspiring these outrageous constitutional violations by DOJ, is part of the network of Christian Nationalist churches tied to Doug Wilson and attended by Pete Hegseth.
The fact that *both* of the churches that have made news in Minneapolis for pro-ICE links/positions have ties to the Doug Wilson-verse (which, for those keeping track, is who oversees the church Sec. Pete Hegseth now attends) feels like evidence that the universe's writers are just getting lazy.
