We continue our work on a plan that will help achieve a just and lasting peace in Ukraine, while at the same time strengthening Europe’s security.

Hmmm…what USAID wasn’t bad for America…what if getting rid of it only hurt us and everyone else?

What if the richest man in the world being responsible for ending aid to the poorest people in the world will go down as one of the most bizarre and disgusting acts of the 21st century?

The US does virtually nothing for Ukraine - some intelligence & some arms Europe pays for.
Trump is a full-fledged supporter of Putin & not entitled to any voice on Ukraine.
Ukraine & Europe should just ignore the Kremlin proposal that Trump embraces as his.

Americans have no idea what socialism means

In the civilized parts of the world it means people have the power to choose to not be screwed over by rapey, greedy corporate thugs. That’s it. That’s all it means

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz made clear: “This war can only end with Ukraine’s full consent. It cannot be resolved by great powers over the heads of those under attack.” He stressed that Europe must be part of any solution and warned that Ukraine’s defeat would destabilize the entire continent.

The more concerning scenario is the US and Russia coordinating their foreign policies to attempt to coerce Ukraine, but that is also yet to happen. Plus, thanks to Ukraine's resistance and European support, the US and Russia are not guaranteed to succeed at coercion. 2/2

Echoing a point made by @aphclarkson.bsky.social, I believe that a lot of the panic in Europe over US dealings with Russia has proved misplaced. The US has not waged the leverage needed to ensure Moscow sticks to any point of the leaked deal. There is no ‘table’ for Europe to sit at. 1/2

I am sorry to say: even if it is not accepted. The mere fact that Trump & Vance put a deal on the table in which the US is conceived as a) benefiting financially from a deal akin to capitulation and b) the US is the neutral party mediating between Russia and Nato destroys us leadership.
Who will benefit from the White House’s 28-point proposal for Ukraine? For a decade, Russia has been seeking to divide Europe and America, to undermine NATO and weaken the transatlantic alliance. This peace plan, if accepted, will achieve that goal. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2025/1...

Ukraine is not losing the war, Russia is.
Ukraine is not losing the war, Russia is.

We should keep supporting #Ukraine till it wins.
We should stop bending the knee for Trump.
