5 | Every Other Holiday (2018)

How did this get on the list?

We were wanting bad films for the right reasons or good films for the wrong reasons.

This earnest and moving film is actually just downright pretty good, and certainly very emotional without ever feeling forced.

That's absolutely fine. If it goes ahead, even if it ends up being a 20 or 30, just come in when you want to.

4 | A Christmas Frequency (2023)

This film was disappointingly good. Despite choosing it because of the humour of Denise Richards being cast so highly, it was actually a nice story.

Basic plot aside, there was chemistry and Kenzie and Ben were likeable and nicely goofy leads.

3 | Christmas on the Alpaca Farm (2023)

We chose this one because look at that big ass Alpaca!

Actually a lot of alpacas in this one, although none as massive as promised.

Nice story, but Andrew was typically nasty about Jess's career.

And the end scene felt really unhappy!

2 | A Vineyard Christmas (2023)

The best Hallmark-y Xmas movies are the really rubbish ones for all the right reasons.

Bad green screen, funny surnames, and the great pace at which leading man Rudy gets over his anxiety on camera all make for good laughs.

Zero chemistry too!

You are in for a treat! From what I've seen of what you like, I think you're absolutely right that the next two albums will be up your street. They are incredibly special and unique.

After that, Mark Hollis' solo record is also more than worth hearing.
