If we are on the same internet, then I see a post saying we have tracked any and every object that could hit us?

I was just reading up on it to fact check myself and we currently have maybe 30% confidence of this and hope to get to 60% or so in a few years with new telescopes and orbiters.

I'm thinking about the protest over the poor kitty that ran under a Waymo. The argument against the autonomous vehicle is that a human driver has object permanence and would have seen the cat run under the car and gotten out to check.

Do you believe that? I don't.

Unless you’re a tax expert, understanding compression can seem like trying to hear the sound of one hand clapping. Really, it’s the clatter of Measures 5 and 50 crashing into each other like drunken bicyclists after a beer festival in Waterfront Park. The best way to understand it is probably by example, and there is no better example than Big Pink.

Portland's Central Eastside business lobby seems to be trying to direct some ire at city council about parking fees and hours of enforcement (let them know you think it's a good start) ...

they also think Ted Wheeler is still mayor.

Cerritos, CA requires one parking space for every 5 (five!!) square feet of gathering space at a funeral home.

That's 30X more than RPV (not that theirs is any more justifiable).

Parking mandates are arbitrary and demented.
