Anyone else in digital services getting flood of “AI-generated clients”? Briefs as long as novels full of buzzwords, “I’ll provide most of the code,” scope: “something like Facebook,” budget: under $500 ☠️ I don't have time to even read that sh*t

Did you know you can use SSH SOCKS to create an encrypted tunnel that routes your internet traffic through a remote server, letting you browse securely and bypass network restrictions?

Now you know.

If you have a Cloudflare free account, you can just disable SSH port and configure SSH through one of your subdomains. No one will be able to connect to your server but you, using the client daemon that CF will give to you when you set up the ssh.

I found out today on X-bird that:

-Watching porn causes intestinal worms.
-Bee venom kills cancer.
-Hitler should be more respected.

Really great social network. So informative. 😁

VMware Fusion is now a nice free alternative for hosting Windows 11 or Linux VMs on Apple M1/M2. I mostly use Parallels, which offers better 3D acceleration support. So, if your intention is to play games, Parallels is still the best choice. For Linux, in this case, Kali VMware works even better.

OpenCore Legacy Patcher is awesome. I updated my old Macbook Pro to unsupported MacOS Ventura without any issue. System was normally updated so I did not have to make clean install. Really amazing and smooth experience.

Cannot overstate how the loss of Twitter did damage to discoverability. Even if you never used it, if you read about a Kickstarter on a big-name website, *they* likely discovered that small niche project via Twitter.

Have you heard about NativePHP?

And they said PHP is dead.

Twitter was a world-changing source for exchanging news around the globe. It was vital in getting word out about the Women’s Revolution in Iran, about oppressions in the Middle East and elsewhere. The loss of this will be the real tragedy of Musk’s ego-driven degradation of the platform.

@charly.bsky.social I've heard about new shiny look of Wordpress admin panel. Do you know something more about it? I found one photo, I am not sure if that was official image, but if that is true it will be awesome!

I'm working on a client's Ghost CMS template. While adding support for social networks, I added the obligatory ones (YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, etc.). However, I began to wonder about BlueSky and Threads. Should we build templates future-proof now? And is there pretty outline icon for BlueSky? :)

Well, this is just great. Not only is Twitter making it easier for people to spam my wall with bullshit, but they're also rewarding them for doing so. I can't wait to see how much worse this platform become.
So Twitter is now allowing creators to directly monetize their content and the engagement with it. Since the engagement is mostly with maga accounts On the bird app, I guess my original plan to stay there and troll is not going to work out.

I wanted to add full-text search into my web. Django ORM support it only with PostgreSQL, so I decided to try Supabase. Czech lang. isn't supported by default in PG. Czech dictionaries can be installed but only via server access. Supabase doesn't seems to have any way to add custom lang.😞
