Good morning, nearly everyone!

“You have a car lobby who are hiding behind buses and ambulances. It’s an easy thing to hide behind but what’s behind the ambulance? It’s a Range Rover.”

Where this article fails is in reporting Fleur’s fictitious claims about ‘impacts on Putney’ unchallenged
Hammersmith Bridge would cost £250m to reopen — but should it?
Campaigners want the west London crossing kept car-free, but MPs and residents say the closure is harming families and the local economy

Manchester is a creative place where creative people live . As a bike rider, I’d get to see the ever-changing art gallery of street art every day.

A good example of how strangely unpolitical this government is at times.
The Economist is fretting that trade union laws have been tilted (sharply!) back towards strengthening unions.
But is the government making an argument around this to progressive voters? No.

Westminster bubble is the PLP thinking they can win an election by being Reform whilst haemorrhaging left votes in their constituencies

Wow - @manchestermill.bsky.social catches Reform UK sending fake letters to residents without saying they’re from Matt Goodwin’s campaign, a glaring breach of electoral law.

The John Harris article about the constituency is a bit paper thin and doesn’t really say anything. Although the Manchester Mill one isn’t much better either.

The more I watch this from Hannah Spencer, two things happen:
1. The more I like it and her.
2. The more it makes me want to get out and do what she says by volunteering.
... I'm surprisingly moved by 2, as I can physically feel it breaking through the armour of scepticism I've built around myself.

Odd to have so many good candidates standing in Gorton & Denton. Normally it’s just Labour, Tory paper candidate and local anti-LTN bore with too much time on his hands.

Will we see Nigel Farage on the A6 for Gorton and Denton? Don’t think he’d be welcome in either King Karahi or Station South tbh
