And in the darkened underpass
I thought "Oh God, my chance has come at last"
But then a strange fear gripped me and I just couldn't ask

Too late, my time has come
Sends shivers down my spine, body's aching all the time
Goodbye, everybody, I've got to go
Gotta leave you all behind and face the truth
Mama, ooh
I don't wanna die
I sometimes wish I'd never been born at all

Power to the people
It's a God awful small affair
To the girl with the mousey hair,
But her mummy is yelling, "No!"
And her daddy has told her to go,
But her friend is no where to be seen.
Now she walks through her sunken dream
To the seats with the clearest view
And she's hooked to the silver screen…

Mince pie-off:

- Sainsbury’s TTD (foreground, decorated top)
- Co-op shortcrust (rear, flatter, shallower and plainer)

Both slightly warmed.

Plus all the professional tasting accoutrements: crème fraiche, mug of Earl Grey (in ICAEW mug) and, most importantly, a bit of weekend peace and quiet.

Loved this Loire sticky - botrytised dessert wine from Coteaux du Layon.

Drinking nicely now at 6 years, it will continue to improve for years, if not decades:

The King's College Chapel, at the University of Cambridge, is considered one of the finest examples of late Perpendicular Gothic English architecture and features the world's largest fan vault. The Chapel was built in phases by a succession of kings of England from 1446 to 1515 CE.

Current status.

Business trip to Slough, UK (just west of London, not a location that makes the heart beat faster, generally).

Popped out for dinner, found a Japanese restaurant. Ordered sashimi and sake, then katsu and biru.

Balance restored.
