Does anyone know what’s happening to #trees? After ash dieback decimated the woods I visit, other varieties such as beech are coming down in lesser numbers. Is there a significant #climatechange impact on woodland ecosystems already?

Chagos Islands perspective- UK has a lease on the military base on Diego Garcia for 99 years. Before that lease expires much of the archipelago will be functionally uninhabitable due to sea level rise.

Given that the POTUS has written a letter threatening war because he didn’t win a prize, and given that he has not been forcibly retired, and given that sanity is defined relativistically, I think it’s now safe to conclude that the world has gone mad.

Just got back from visiting family in #Denmark. All I can say is it makes the UK look like the small-minded, underfunded crummy place it is. We do need to return to the 1960’s insofar as we need to return to proper Keynesianism.
