I sympathise with commenters angry that this wasn't the article she wrote seven or eight years ago. But surely the point is that people are realising and highlighting this issue now and we can take that forward and build again?

Ever wondered why GPs are continually attacked in the papers, but acute physicians like A+E doctors are not?
It’s because GP services are attractive and are being taken on by major corporations, whereas acute services are mostly not.
