End of a 10-hour night shift, customer asks me where the sugar-free juice is to. No, not squash, juice. No, not 'no added sugar', sugar-free.
Explaining the concept of fruit juice to an adult man was an odd experience. In the end, he decided to try a different supermarket 🫠

You commit early to only buying one specific type of multipack sock from M&S (and then mid-30s have a panic because they've changed them to be Bad now and you need to find a new supplier...) 😅

I am barely over 5' tall. My ex was 6'4" and muscular.
You'd better believe that, even after they closed down, I never stopped shit-talking the burrito place that made him a MUCH BIGGER BURRITO despite the fact that I had to pay the same for both of them 😡

Someone I used to know would reply "Well what do you think I'm going to do with it?!" and it generally was his pints money that he was handing over.

It doesn't seem to be covered in the article, but lots of asthma (reliever) drugs are beta agonists, i.e. the opposite of beta blockers. Any symptom that beta blockers reduce (racing heart, anxiety, high blood pressure) the beta agonist will increase- which is why they're so much fun 🙃

Literally puts me off taking my reliever inhaler if I only think I need it "a bit". School thought I was putting it on when I'd not be able to write after an asthma attack. If it's a two-puff job it makes my legs shake too and I have to just crawl into bed 🤷🏼‍♀️

Once opened a car door into the left side of my face, full force. Whenever I mention it, people ask if I was drunk - no, I was 17, it was about 8am, and I was getting in my mum's car to go to work. I'm just Like That 😅

I end up doing a lot of food-based gifts because we all have PLENTY of stuff in our houses, and at least then I am not adding so much to the Burden of Stuff (and also I get to enjoy buying the fancy food gifts tbh or making a hamper or whatever)

On a call with a manager yesterday and she said "oh, at least you've got sunshine there!" and then realised, "It's your lamp, isn't it?" - yes! Not only is our office a basement and my home office a windowless corner, it's also bleeding November! I am *glued* to my SAD lamp 😅

Thank you so much for sharing that 😍 I had no idea!

I gave evidence in court against the man who repeatedly raped me, and genuinely believe that the PTSD I was later diagnosed with was as much caused by that experience as by the crimes themselves. CPS already fails in its duty to support victims/survivors without them then being more traumatised.

(Also if anyone who was on it reads this - sorry! I think you're all great and would actually really like to watch more of the *process* and see more of what you can do in a reasonable amount of time! I just think the show has missed the mark)

Okay I am not really enjoying Game of Wool because it turns out speed knitting is Bad And Unsatisfying, Actually (who would have thought!), but you should maybe watch the first half of last night's for the ✨️iconic✨️ knitted dog jackets 😅

I would simply bare a leg and he would be unable to resist the opportunity to lick a naked knee 😅😂

Also I really hated the chunky wool and chunky needles, as many of them also seemed to 😅

I am baffled by the concept of *speed knitting* as the competition - I enjoyed seeing their ideas and designs but not them being unable to finish in the given time and being genuinely unhappy with what they'd managed to complete 🥺

We've currently got covid - partner has particularly enjoyed the comfort of Covent Garden chicken soup, while I've gone for packet ramen noodles with extra chilli. Nothing seems to be helping the lung crud, sadly, but steaming hot soupy food has been pleasant, at least.

"This fucking sucks" and "all is lost" are two different sentences.

Don't say the second when you mean the first.
