Moses was reluctant to allow the 76ers to retire his jersey. He believed winning was a team effort. Why should he be signaled out? He finally agreed to it under the condition that the 76ers stitch the name of every teammate he had in Philly around the trim of his banner.

And once again you can only shake your head and wonder how a group of people came together and decided it was a good idea to trade a player and person like this.
Mookie Betts was named winner of the prestigious Roberto Clemente Award "for his many extraordinary efforts including supporting young people in a variety of ways and helping victims of the Los Angeles fires."

The award is based on character, community involvement and philanthropy.

After spending 43 years in prison for a crime he didn't commit, evidence hidden by the prosecution reversed his conviction. Rather than finally enjoying freedom, ICE abducted him for deportation

Only an administration intent on committing war crimes in the present and future would stoop to calling Wounded Knee a "battle" rather than what it truly was: a massacre of over 250 Lakotas, mainly women, children, and the elderly. 1/

“.. the idea was — as we were working on the concept,” Newhart said, “that Bob is a good listener, based on [my standup comedy] telephone routine. So let's find a profession where he is a listener. And they suggested a psychologist.”

Here's a fun story from yesterday.

@govpritzker.illinois.gov made the same point as @governorwalz.mn.gov Enough of the damn "Dems in disarray" written-on-autopilot coverage. Or "how does this change odds for 2028?"

The country is under attack. That's the story.
Walz: "It boggles my damn mind that in the midst of a military takeover of our cities, the flaunting of the rule of law, that the press finds the need to talk about, 'Oh, there's a division in the Dem Party.' There's a division in my damn house & we're still married and things are good. That's life"
